Charity Work

Davie Quilters support their local communities

Members of our guild delivered 41 quilts to residents at the Salisbury VA Home.  Mary Womack, who donated the material, was able to join guild members on the trip.

Members were able to hand deliver quilts to the veterans and express their appreciation for the veterans service to our country.
The quilts were greatly appreciated by the recipients.

· Members of the charity committee reported that the Davie County Sheriff Department is in need of blankets for children and adults.  A motion was made and seconded to take $100.00 from our treasury to buy some blankets for this purpose.  Motion passed.
· It was also brought to our attention that the VA home in Salisbury needs 99 wheel chair bags.  A workshop will be announced later to work on these.
